Setting Up Your Workspace

A step-by-step guide to completing the Postigniter workspace setup wizard.

Setting Up Your Workspace

When you upgrade to Pro, Postigniter creates a workspace for you — a dedicated environment where your AI agent learns about your brand, tracks your content, and gives you smarter, more personalized results.

The first time you enter your workspace, a short setup wizard walks you through six steps. It takes about two minutes and makes a real difference in how well your AI agent performs.

What Is a Workspace?

Think of it as your content hub. Your workspace holds everything specific to your brand: your niche, your keywords, the social accounts you connect, and the AI agent that ties it all together. All the workspace-level tools — the YouTube dashboard, Reddit monitoring, brand mentions, and more — live here.

You can have multiple workspaces if you manage more than one brand (more on that in Managing Your Workspace).

The Setup Wizard

Step 1 — Brand Name

Enter the name of your brand, channel, or business. This is what your AI agent will use when referring to you and your content.

Workspace setup step 1 — brand name

Keep it simple — your actual brand name, not a description of what you do.

Step 2 — Category

Choose the broad category that best describes your content. This helps your AI agent understand the general space you operate in — things like education, entertainment, lifestyle, tech, finance, and so on.

Workspace setup step 2 — category

If you're between two categories, pick the one that describes your primary content, not a side project.

Step 3 — Niche Selection

Within your category, narrow it down further by selecting your specific niche. This is where your AI agent really starts to understand you — "Tech" becomes "Beginner coding tutorials" or "Mobile app reviews."

Workspace setup step 3 — niche selection

Be as specific as you can. The more focused your niche, the more relevant your AI-generated content will be.

Step 4 — Keywords

Add the core keywords and topics your content revolves around. These feed directly into your AI agent's understanding of what matters to your audience.

Workspace setup step 4 — keywords

Think about what your audience searches for, what your best-performing content covers, and the phrases that describe your unique angle. You can add more keywords later from your workspace settings.

Step 5 — Meet Your AI Agent

This step introduces your AI agent — a persistent AI assistant that knows your brand context and works across your workspace tools. It uses everything you've entered in the previous steps.

Workspace setup step 5 — meet your AI agent

Your agent can generate content ideas, analyze opportunities, draft replies, and surface insights — all based on your specific niche and keywords, not generic prompts.

Step 6 — Connect Your Accounts

The final step lets you connect your social media accounts and tools. Currently supported:

  • YouTube — connect your channel for analytics, competitor tracking, and video performance data
  • Facebook — connect your Page for performance reports and caption tracking
  • Canva — link your Canva account for design integration

Workspace setup step 6 — connect accounts

Connecting accounts is optional during setup — you can skip any of these and add them later from your workspace settings. But connecting at least your primary channel unlocks the most valuable workspace features right away.

After Setup

Once you complete the wizard, your workspace is live. Your AI agent begins working in the background — scanning for brand mentions, tracking opportunities, and populating your dashboards with data relevant to your niche.

Depending on how much public data is available for your channel, the initial data pull can take a few minutes. Refresh your workspace dashboard after a moment and you'll start seeing it fill in.

From here, explore the left sidebar to find your YouTube dashboard, Reddit monitoring, Sonar brand monitoring, performance reports, and more.
